Equal Rights

Reach Work encourages all recruiters and employers to familiarise themselves with the Equality Act 2010 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/equality-act-2010-guidance), in particular how it relates to job advert content.

This guide is intended to highlight the main areas which impact job advert content. For a comprehensive overview please consult the guidance provided by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

As a general guideline, it is unlawful to discriminate against any person when advertising a vacancy, based on the protected characteristics listed below:

Marriage & Civil Partnership, Age, Disability, Gender, Gender Reassignment, Pregnancy and Maternity, Race, Religion or Belief, Sexual Orientation.

There may be occupational requirements that mean a protected characteristic is central to a particular role, however these must be objectively justified.

Here at Pulse we honour this act and make it our policy to attract our candidates from all backgrounds.

Please check out some of our lovely roles that we are currently recruiting and send us your CV if you would like to be considered.
